Dosely

Clinical Safety

Clinical Safety Lead, PharmD

Own the bright line. Define what Dosely is allowed to say, how a side effect is worded, how an interaction is framed as a pharmacist conversation, and where the product must stop.

Location
Boston, MA or remote in the US
Type
Full time
Compensation
$150,000 to $185,000 plus 0.2% to 0.45% equity

When Dosely explains a medication, that explanation has to be safe, plain and true. You own where it comes from. You are the person who says 'this is fair information' or 'this reads like advice, cut it', and you translate that judgment into prompts, evals and the guardrails in code.

This is a clinical and quality role with a direct product output. You work alongside the engineering team, not separately from it. The line between what the product says and what you say is intentionally thin, and it is a line that keeps people safe.

What you would own

  • Define and maintain the safety bar for every explanation, side-effect list and interaction flag Dosely shows.
  • Own the rule that Dosely never provides or changes a dose and never tells anyone to start or stop a medication, and the evals that prove it holds.
  • Review model output weekly and file what crosses the line, specifically and with examples.
  • Write the Care and safety guidance so a person always knows when to call a pharmacist, a doctor, or emergency care.
  • Advise on the interaction wording so a flag reads as a question for a pharmacist, never a verdict.

What we are looking for

  • An active PharmD or equivalent, with several years in community, clinical or medication-safety practice.
  • You have reviewed enough patient-facing medication content to know immediately when something drifts into advice.
  • You can explain a statin and an antihistamine to a worried person and both sound plain and calm.
  • You are comfortable being the person who says the product is wrong about this, with the example to back it up.

How hiring runs

A thirty-minute call with a founder, then a paid work session on a real problem from our backlog (three to four hours), then conversations with two people you would work alongside. Four steps, usually inside two weeks, and we tell you where you stand at every one.
