Terms

Terms of service

Effective 1 January 2025. Twelve sections, and the most important one is the second: Dosely is information and reminders, not medical advice.
01

The agreement

These terms are between you and Dosely Inc., a Delaware C corporation at 501 Boylston Street, Suite 6100, Boston, MA 02116. By creating an account or using Dosely you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a household or caregiver arrangement, you confirm you are the responsible adult.

We have written these in plain English on purpose. A product built on clarity should not hide its own terms in four thousand words.

02

Not medical advice. No doctor-patient relationship. Information and reminders only.

Dosely is information and organization support for people managing medications. It explains what a medication is generally for, lists common side effects worth knowing, builds a reminder schedule around the times you already take your medications, and flags possible interactions to review with your pharmacist. That is the complete scope of what it does.

Dosely is not a licensed medical provider. It does not provide medical advice. It does not create a doctor-patient or pharmacist-patient relationship between you and Dosely or anyone at Dosely. Nothing Dosely shows you is a substitute for professional care.

Dosely never provides or changes a dose, never tells you to start, stop, skip, or adjust a medication, and never presents an interaction finding as a clinical decision. Every interaction finding is framed only as something to review with your pharmacist.

For any concern about your health, your medications, a possible overdose, or a reaction that worries you: seek professional care. In the United States, Poison Control is at 1-800-222-1222, emergency services are at 911, and your nearest emergency room is always an option. Dosely is not for emergencies.

03

Your account

  • You need an account, and the information on it must be accurate.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your credentials to yourself.
  • Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. A minor may use Dosely only under the supervision of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms.
04

Your content stays yours

Medication names, notes, and reminders you add are yours. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to process the information, send medication names to a model provider to produce the plain-language information, and store the result for you.

We do not use your medication data to train models, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone other than the model provider producing your information. You can delete any medication, or the whole account, at any time.

05

What you may not do

  • Use Dosely for anything that requires a medical licence or that replaces professional clinical care.
  • Use Dosely to process information about another person without their knowledge and consent, or without appropriate authority as a caregiver.
  • Use Dosely to break the law.
  • Resell or white-label the service as your own without a written agreement with us.
  • Attempt to extract prompts, scrape the service in bulk, or reverse-engineer the model layer.
  • Upload malware, or deliberately try to disrupt the service for other people.
06

Plans, payment, and cancelling

  • The free plan includes up to five plain-language medication explanations per calendar month, counted in UTC and reset on the first.
  • Plus is $6 a month and Family is $12 a month, in US dollars. Annual billing is ten months for twelve, charged once at the start of the year.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. We will not hide the cancel option, and we will not require a phone call.
  • Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep read access to the medication list you have already built.
  • If we raise prices, existing subscribers keep their price for at least 12 months and get 30 days' notice.
  • Refunds: if something we did stopped Dosely working for you, email us and we will refund the period affected. We would rather give the money back than argue.
07

Availability

We aim for Dosely to be available and we publish incidents on the status page. We do not offer a formal uptime guarantee at this stage of the company, and we would rather say so than promise one we have not built the redundancy to keep.

08

Disclaimers

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that Dosely will be accurate, complete, error-free, or suitable for any particular medical purpose. Medication information changes, and you should confirm anything important with your pharmacist or prescriber before acting on it.

Dosely is not a regulated medical device under FDA or any other regulatory framework, and it is not designed for clinical decision-making.

09

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Dosely is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss arising from a health decision made in reliance on information Dosely produced.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10

Ending it

You can stop using Dosely and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and where we reasonably can we will tell you why first and give you a chance to export your medication list.

11

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts. Both of us waive a jury trial. We have not included a mandatory arbitration provision, because we would rather not rely on one.

12

Changes

If we change these terms materially we will email account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Dosely after that means you accept the new version. This version is effective 1 January 2025.

Questions about any of this go to hello@mydosely.tech and a person will answer. The care and safety page has the plain version of what Dosely does and does not do.
